Fun Events to Entertain Youngsters during Half-term Holiday

A FUN programme of sports and leisure events has been arranged by Charnwood Borough Council to keep youngsters entertained during the February half-term holiday.
And the Authoritys school holiday activity programme need not cost the earth " as there are a number of free sessions and pounds to be saved for Wild Card holders.
Events arranged for five to 16-year-olds between Monday, February 16th and Friday, February 20th include ice skating, horse riding, high ropes and trampolining plus a number of wet activities at the South Charnwood Swimming Pool in Syston.
Charnwoods Play Rangers will also be holding free sessions in Anstey, Burton on the Wolds, Loughborough and Thurmaston.
The Wild Card is also on offer with new members able to sign up to the Leisure pass for only £1.50 instead of the usual price of £3.
Wild Card holders can save up to 50 per cent on the half-term holiday activities and receive fantastic discounts at tourist locations across the East Midlands, including Twinlakes Park, Conkers, Megazone and Twycross Zoo.
Cllr Jane Hunt, Charnwood Borough Councils Champion for Children, Young People and Play, said: "We want kids in Charnwood to have a great time this half term.
"This is a cost effective way of getting children and young people involved in sporting and leisure activities throughout the Borough and if you purchase a Wild Card at the same time, theres a whole year of discounts to be had. Go on, have a great time!
