Vandalism at Loughborough Crematorium

Officers are appealing for information regarding after vandalism at Loughborough Crematorium.

The incidents took place at around 4.30am on Thursday January 15, 2009 at the site on Leicester Road when flowers at a grave and commemorative flowers laid out at the front of the Crematorium were damaged.

The suspect has been described as wearing a light coloured coat and trousers which were tucked into Wellington boots. They were also wearing a light coloured knitted hat which appeared to be tied under the chin.

PC Glen Reid, from Loughborough local policing unit said: "These kinds of acts of vandalism will not be tolerated and we take them very seriously. This has caused a great upset to the family, the Crematorium and visitors.

"Were appealing to anyone who may have seen a person matching this description in the area at the time of these incidents or has any information as to who was responsible to contact to please come forward and speak to us."
