Tools stolen from van in Loughborough

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a theft from a vehicle parked in Loughborough. 

The incident took place between 2.15pm and 2.30pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday January 21, 2009) when the white Citroen Relay van was broken into at a car park on Park Road.

Stolen from the van was a large quantity of tools including nail guns and drills. The estimated value of the property taken is around £3,000.

PC Paul Anderson, who is investigating the incident, said: "The victim has been left extremely upset by this incident as he relied on these tools to carry out for his job.

"We would appeal to anyone who witnessed these tools being stolen or saw any suspicious vehicles in the area.

"Alternatively, we would ask anyone who has been approached by someone selling tools in suspicious circumstances or at a cheap price."
