Love Is in the Air at the Farmers Market on Wed 11 February

Posted on 28/01/09

Love is in the air at the Farmers Market on Wednesday 11 February. The valentine themed Farmers Market will be decorated with red heart balloons to entice the romantics.

The Just Soaps stall will be selling heart shaped soaps while Brocklebys the lamb specialist will be offering heart shaped pork pies.

On the Eden Farms stall all the vegetables are going purple and people can purchase Purple Passion Boxes. Hollinshead Confectionery will be selling heart shaped biscuits and cakes.

Cllr. Peter Lewis, Charnwood Borough Councils Cabinet member for Leisure, said: "Its great fun to have themed Farmers Market days and Valentines Day is no exception. The stallholders will be selling a number of products that the customers will find irresistible such as perfumes, chocolates, flowers and plants. It is a wonderful opportunity to pick up a Valentines Day gift with a difference."

A wide variety of local produce - including rare meats, organic fruit and vegetables, jams, preserves, chutneys, pickles, eggs, cheese, bread, cakes and pies is available at the Farmers Market on the second Wednesday of each month.

For those unable to attend the Farmers Market on Wednesday, the Valentines theme will also run through the Saturday Market on the Valentines Day.
