Andy Reed MP Meets 3M Bosses

Posted on 28/03/09
newsdesk

Andy Reed was meeting bosses at 3M today to discuss the prospects for the company in the town.

"I always like to try and keep in touch with Gary and colleagues at 3M about the prospects for the company in the town as one of our major employers. They are excellent at keeping me up to do date with their business plans and raising issues of concerns.

"It was a positive meeting as their health care side of the business does seem to be holding up fairly well. It is important to understand that our continued investment in the NHS feeds throught to keeping local jobs.

Threats of cuts to the NHS from the opposition clearly would not only be damaging to the progress we have made in hospitals but also threaten local employment.

"It is also important to understand the need for constant innovation to stay ahead of the market. It remains the key to growing the local economy and keeping jobs in the town"
