Arson on Farnham Road, Loughborough
Police in Loughborough are appealing for witnesses following an incident of arson at building on Farnham Road.
The incident happened between 2.30am and 3am on Saturday April 11, when the unoccupied residential home was set alight. It is believed that the fire was started deliberately
No one was in the building and no one was hurt.
The fire service attended the incident and distinguished the fire.
Detective Constable James Harrison, the officer investigating the incident, said: "Fortunately the fire service acted swiftly and prevented the fire from spreading to a neighbouring housing estate and causing any more damage.
"We are not sure what the motive is at this stage and so are appealing for witnesses to help us piece together the events prior to the fire being started.
"We would like anyone who seen anyone in the area before the incident or who seen the incident happened to contact us with any information they have."
