Appeal following robbery on Abbey Lane, Leicester
Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery near Abbey Lane.
The incident happened at around 9.30pm on Monday, March 30 near to McDonalds when the victim was walking back to his car, which was parked in a side street.
He was approached from behind and assaulted. While he was on the floor his grey Apple MacBookPro laptop, which was in a red sleeve and worth around £1,300 was taken in the incident.
The suspect, who made off on a bike, is described as white, between 18 and 21-years-old, around 510" tall and of medium build. He was wearing a navy blue or black baseball cap with a grey hooded top and dark blue jeans. The bike was a cream/white BMX.
Detective Constable Denise Pritchard, who is investigating the incident said: "We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious.
"We believe there was another man with the suspect, although unfortunately we dont have a description of him.
"If you were in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious then we would ask you to contact us.
"We would also like to speak to anyone who knows of someone who has recently acquired a laptop like this."
