Non-stop road traffic collision on Troon Way
Police are appealing for witnesses after a non-stop road traffic collision on Troon Way.
The collision occurred at about 8.50pm on Friday April 17, 2009 at the junction with Nicklaus Road and involved a car and a pedal cyclist.
The cyclist, a 14-year-old boy, received minor injuries during the incident. The driver of the vehicle, possibly a taxi and a Vauxhall, stopped but did not leave any details or assist the boy.
PC Ed Stephenson, who is investigating the incident, said: "Thankfully the boy was not seriously injured but the consequences could have been far worse.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw it take place. We would also ask for the driver of the car to come forward.
"Anyone with any information is asked to please contact us urgently."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 2029 Ed Stephenson on (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officers identification number 2029. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
