Appeal for witnesses to assault on Castle Park
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in the city centre.
The incident happened between 2pm and 3pm on Wednesday April 15, 2009 as the 44-year-old victim was at Castle Park off Castle Street when he was assaulted by three or four men.
He sustained injuries to his face and attended hospital for treatment.
PC Helen Roberts-Ball, who is investigating the incident, said "We are trying to build a complete a full picture of the circumstances leading up to the man being attacked.
"If you were in Castle Park area between 2pm and 3pm last Wednesday you may have vital information that could assist our investigation and I urge you to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
