Damage to farm on Anstey Lane
Police in Beaumont Leys are appealing for witnesses after fencing at a farm on Anstey Lane was damaged.
The incident happened at around 6.30pm on Thursday April 9, when an employee of Gorse Hill Farm was alerted that all the animals had been let out of their pens and were roaming around the farm.
Upon arrival the employee found that a fence to the right of the farm had been completely broken down.
Police are particularly keen to speak with two youths and a girl who were seen in the area at the time of the incident.
All three are described as being white and aged between 13 and 15-years-old.
One of the youths is described as being of a slim build with short brown hair and between 5'4" and 5'6" tall. He was wearing a blue hooded top and was pushing a mountain bike.
The second youth is described as having brown hair, of a slim build and between 5'5" and 5'7" tall. He was wearing a light coloured top and jeans.
The girl seen is described as having brown hair that was tied back and of a slim build. She was wearing a dark jacket and brown boots.
PC Ian Lovell, the officer investigating the incident, said: "This has caused great inconvenience to the farm, they will now have to spend money to get the fence fixed and as the farm is a charity many local people will be upset by this.
"We would like anyone who saw this incident take place, in particular the three young people described or those who recognise them to contact us. Any information you have could help us with our investigation."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1978 Ian Lovell on 0116 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1978. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
