Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a stolen car in Melton.

The incident happened between 7.30pm on Tuesday April 21 and 10.30am on Wednesday April 22, when the black Mitsubishi Warrior, registration number WR07 JWW, was stolen from a property on Hamilton Drive.

The vehicle has two silver stripes running down each side of it.

PC Nathan Adkin, the officer investigating the incident, said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the time since it has been stolen.

"If you have seen the vehicle and those who were driving it then we would like you to contact us and help us with our investigation.

"We would also like car dealers to be aware of this and to contact us should they be approached by somebody trying to sell a car matching the above description."
