Police are appealing for witnesses after a window at a house on Charnwood Avenue, Thurmaston was damaged.

The incident happened at around 7.45pm on Friday April 24, when the occupant of the house heard a loud bang from a downstairs room.

The victim went downstairs to investigate and found that one of her windows had a large crack running across it.

Around the same time a small black car was seen to drive off down the road at speed, turning left onto Highway Road.

PC Ed Stephenson, the officer investigating the incident, said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident, in particular those in the small back car, to contact us.

"Can you remember seeing anyone in the area acting suspiciously? Do you know who those in the black car are? If you have any information concerning this incident we would like you to call us and help us with our investigation."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 2029 Ed Stephenson on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for an officer and when prompted key in her identification number 2029. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers free* and anonymously on 0800 555 111.
