Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Morcott.

The incident occurred at around 1.20pm on Friday April 24, 2009 on the A47, Glaston Road near to the Total Service Station and involved three vehicles, a green Kawasaki ER, a brown Volvo FE240 tripper LGV and a blue Volkswagen Golf GT.

The rider of the Kawasaki, a man in his twenties, was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary with serious injuries where his condition is currently described as stable.

The driver of and in the passenger in the LGV and the driver of the Golf were not injured.

Detective Constable Darren Symes-Goodman, who is investigating the incident said: "If you were in the area and saw the collision or noticed any of the vehicles just prior to the incident I would like to hear from you. Even small details could be important so please get in touch if you have any information."
