Officers in North West Leicestershire are appealing for witnesses after a caravan was stolen from a driveway in Moira.

The caravan was taken between 10am and 5pm on Friday April 24, 2009 from a driveway of a property on Rawdon Road near to the junction with Ashby Road.

The thieves managed to break down an electric gate to the driveway and remove the security fittings from the caravan before driving off with it.

The caravan is described as a Pageant Auvergne caravan. It is cream in colour and 23ft long.

PC Paul Anderson, who is investigating this incident, said: "The caravan is quite a rare make and model and location is a fairly busy road so we hope someone may have seen the caravan being taken or may now know its whereabouts.

"We also urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity on Rawdon Road on Friday April 24 to contact us."
