Landlords Encouraged to Join Scheme

LANDLORDS in Charnwood are being encouraged to sign up to a regional accreditation scheme which offers reassurance to prospective tenants.

Housing Officers from Charnwood Borough Council say the East Midlands Landlord Accreditation Scheme (EMLAS) gives property owners who sign up to it a market advantage as potential tenants know they can be trusted.

Set-up by Decent And Safe Homes (DASH), landlords can gain a three-year membership for free if they sign up before the end of 2009.

The benefits of joining the scheme include a free landlord development training day for all members and expert advice plus discounts on a number of property services.
