Witness appeal following assault on East Park Road
Officers are appealing for witnesses after an assault on East Park Road.
The incident happened at around 9pm on Saturday April 25, 2009 as the 34-year-old victim was parking his car near to the junction with Nottingham Street.
He became involved a driving incident with another vehicle, a silver Toyota, which parked in the same place the victim was intending to use.
The victim parked his car and went over and spoke to the driver before going into a nearby takeaway shop.
As he was leaving the shop, he was assaulted by two men who had got out of the silver Toyota car.
He attended the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment to a broken wrist.
Two men aged 16 and 21 have arrested in connection with the incident and are currently on police bail pending further inquiries.
PC Hamir Godhania, who is investigating the incident, said: "We're trying to build up a complete picture of this incident and the moments before the assault.
"We're appealing for anyone who was in the East Park Road area and witnessed this assault or the events leading up to it who has not yet come forward to please get in touch. Even small details provided to us could prove vital to our enquiries."
