Theft of bag in Leicester Forest East
Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a theft from a woman on Bains Lane, Leicester Forest East.
The incident happened at around 10am on Saturday May 5, when the 60-year-old victim had her bag snatched as two men rode past her on bikes.
The victim then shouted to the men to give back her bag and one of them turned and threatened her.
Both men then rode off in the direction of the Southway, Leicester Forest East.
The bag is a black leather bag with straps and a grey check pattern on it. Amongst the items in the bag is a set of house keys and a grey Nokia mobile phone.
Both men are described as white, aged in their late teens to early twenties, of a slim build and with a clear complexion.
The man who threatened the victim was wearing a grey top with the hood up and was on a dark coloured push bike.
The second man was wearing a black and grey hooded top.
PC Julie Watkins, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victim has been left shaken and upset by the incident and we are eager to find those responsible.
“We would like anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or who recognises the two men described to contact us.
“Any information you have could help us with our investigation and so we would like you to call us with anything you have, no matter how insignificant it may seem.”
