Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision.

The collision occurred at around 12.25am on Sunday May 10 on Big Lane towards the Paudy crossroads and involved a single vehicle which was a purple Peugeot 306, Cabriolet SE and contained only one man.

The driver of the vehicle, 32-year-old Mark Riley, of Barrow upon Soar, received fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Detective Constable Rachel Marston, the officer investigation the collision, said: “The Peugeot was travelling away from Seagrave toward Paudby on Big Lane and so we would like anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle prior to the collision to contact us.
