Make Sunday a funday with two top events

Make Sunday a funday and visit two top events at County Council attractions around Coalville.
Donington Manor House is staging a free Country Capers event, from 11.00am-4.00pm on Sunday (May 17). It aims to celebrate life in the countryside, with animals, rural craft demonstrations, traditional music and dancing and stalls.
Meanwhile, the nearby Snibston Discovery Museum is staging its Transport Festival, from 10.00am-5.00pm. The Festival is a perfect fun day out for all the family, with planes, trains and automobiles and much much more – including a flypast by locally-built Auster planes, at around 2.30pm, weather permitting.
Background:
Donington le Heath Manor House, a 700-year-old former family house, is situated on the southern outskirts of Coalville, between the villages of Donington le Heath and Hugglescote. It is sign posted from the A511 near M1 junction 22. The museum has a car and coach park.

Snibston Discovery Museum is set on the site of a former colliery and consists of an award winning interactive museum, scheduled ancient colliery buildings, the Century Theatre, and a one hundred acre country park and nature reserve. It is based in Ashby Road, Coalville, near the town centre. It is signposted from the A511.
