New Twinning Group Set for First Meeting

A NEW Borough-wide twinning association is to meet for the first time next week.
The Charnwood Twinning Association has been formed to help co-ordinate twinning activities in the area.
Representatives from all the twinning bodies in Charnwood will attend the first meeting, which is taking place in the Council Chamber at Loughborough Town Hall on Wednesday, May 20th at 7pm.
The new Mayor of Charnwood, Cllr Roy Brown, will chair the new Association, which will oversee a diary and programme of visits, school exchanges, sporting fixtures, work placements and conferences.
It would also help in co-ordinating bids for funds to support these activities.
