Loughborough Students' Union hosts the International Day on Wednesday 13th May 2009 in a joint venture with the International Students Association. The annual event promises to be one of the most colourful and vibrant in the Students Union calendar this year. Over 40 countries will be represented on the day from to Bahamas to Vietnam by stalls designed and manned by students from the country, designed to highlight the culture of their origin.

The event has already attracted great local attention and the both the Mayor of Loughborough and Chairman of Leicestershire County Council will be in attendance, along with many country ambassadors and Senior Officials from the University.

David Goss, Loughborough Students' Union President, said "This event attracts excitement from the whole of the Campus and is always well attended both home and international students. It is a fantastic chance to see the cultural diversity that exists on campus and there promises to be a fantastic atmosphere in and around the building on the day."

The day will be officially opened by the Mayor at 11am and will continue on until 4pm. The Students Union would like to warmly invite any members of the community to come and along and sample what promises to be a wonderful cultural experience.
