Indecent assault in Blaby
Police in Blaby are appealing for witnesses following the report of an indecent assault on Lutterworth Road.
The incident happened at around 2.50pm yesterday (Tuesday May 12) as the 26-year-old victim was walking through the shopping precinct.
The victim heard footsteps behind her and then felt someone squeeze her bottom, she then saw the suspect run off through the car park.
This followed an incident only a few minutes earlier when the victim was aware of the suspect following her from a nearby premises.
The suspect is described as white, aged around 16 to 19-years-old, around 5’8” tall and of a slim build. He had dark hair and was wearing light blue denim jeans, a light coloured top and a dark coloured baseball cap.
PC Ady Huss, the officer investigating the incident, said: “We would like to appeal to the public for their help in finding the suspect.
“As there are many shops in the area it is likely that someone would have seen either the incident happen or the suspect involved. If you can remember seeing someone matching the description and where he went after the incident we would like you to call us.”
Anybody with any information is asked to contact PC 1696 Ady Huss on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1696.
