Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery on Hinckley Road, Leicester Forest East.

The incident happened on Tuesday, May 12 at around 8.30pm when the 59-year-old victim was walking near to the motorway bridge in the direction of Packer Avenue.

The victim was approached three men, who assaulted him, before running off with two mobile phones.

He sustained minor injuries to his head and did not require hospital treatment.

The first suspect is described as black, between 25 and 30-years-old and around 6’3” tall. He is of slim build with dark hair and was wearing jeans, with a dark hooded top.

The second suspect is described as black, between 25 and 30-years-old and of stocky build. He was wearing a hooded top and jeans.

The third suspect is described as black, between 25 and 30-years-old and around 5’9” tall and of slim build. He was wearing a hooded top and jeans.

PC Andy Starbuck, who is investigating the incident said: “This is a busy road used by lots of people and we are sure someone will have seen something.

“Were you driving along Hinckley Road? Did you see three men matching the suspect descriptions? You may have the smallest piece of information which you think is insignificant, but it could help with our enquiries.”
