Appeal after men robbed in city
Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in the city.
The incident happened at around 10.30pm on Friday, May 8 at the junction of Doncaster Road and Glendon Street when the victims, aged 17 and 18-years-old were approached by three men.
The suspects threatened the victims before assaulting them and making off with their mobile phones and wallets.
They required treatment at the Leicester Royal Infirmary for minor injuries.
The first suspect is described as Asian, of slim build, around 5’8” tall and between 18 and 19 –years-old. He had a light beard and was wearing a black jacket with the hood up.
The second suspect is described as Asian, of slightly larger build than the first suspect, around 18-years-old and about 5’8” tall. He had short black hair.
The third suspect is described as Asian, around 18-years-old, between 5’10” and 5’11” tall and of slim build. He had a beard and was wearing a black top with the hood up.
Detective Constable Denise Pritchard, who is investigating this incident, said: “We're appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch. You may have seen the robbery or perhaps you were out in the Doncaster Road or Glendon Street area and may recall seeing three people matching these descriptions at the time of the incident.
"If you have any information regarding this incident no matter how insignificant it may seem or know the identity of these people, please get in contact."
