Half-term activities at Charnwood Museum
Posted on 20/05/2009
Community Services
Charnwood Museum will be making a headstart towards the summer by holding more of its ever-popular holiday craft activities this May half term.
On Tuesday 26 May children can create their own colourful finger puppet family under the expert guidance of puppet-maker extraordinaire John Haynes.
Popular workshop leader John will also be at the museum on Thursday 28 May to lead the Beautiful Bugs workshops. In these workshops the museum’s young visitors will have an opportunity to make and decorate their own fantasy bug or wildlife garden scene.
Both workshops are aimed at children aged 3-12 years old and cost £2 per child. Accompanying parents/carers are free and can join in the workshops themselves if they wish (one free parent/carer per child). There are four workshop sessions on each day but places need to be pre-booked as spaces are limited. Contact the museum on 01509 233754 for further details.
Charnwood Museum is located in Queen's Park in Loughborough. Opening Hours are Monday to Saturday 10.00am - 4.30pm, Sundays and Bank Holidays 2.00pm -5.00pm. Admission to the museum is free.
Charnwood Museum is run as a partnership between Leicestershire County Council and Charnwood Borough Council.
