Police are appealing for coursework stolen from a vehicle in Oadby to be returned.

The incident happened between 1pm and 3.20pm on Saturday May 2, 2009 when a black Volkswagen Polo parked in a car park in East Street was broken into.

Thieves smashed the rear passenger window and stolen from the car were bags and suitcases containing clothing, a grey Toshiba Satellite Pro A120 laptop, white Ipod speakers and a silver bracelet.

Also taken from the car were the victim’s daughter’s university course notes which were in a carrier bag.

PCSO Nadeem Ikram, from the Oadby beat team, said: “We would like to hear from anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the East Street between these times or witnessed the incident.

“The victim’s daughter has been left devastated that her university work has been taken especially so close to her exams.

“These are worthless to the thief and we are appealing for them to be handed into a police station or make it known of their whereabouts so they can be returned.”
