Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on Main Road in Nether Broughton.

The incident happened yesterday (Tuesday May 26) at around 1pm, when the vehicle a white Yamaha R1 motorcycle left the road and came to rest at a tree.

The 28-year-old driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Constable Gary Mundy, the officer investigating the collision, said: “The motorcycle was travelling along Main Road towards Nether Broughton and so we would like anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw the vehicle prior to the collision, to contact us.
