Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at the Hilltop service station on High Street in Earl Shilton.

The incident happened at about 10.45pm on Tuesday May 19, 2009 when thieves broke into the premises through the front door.

Over 20 sets of car keys were stolen and the suspects attempted to steal three vehicles before they were disturbed and left the scene.

The victim has offered a reward for any information which may lead to the return of the keys or the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible.

PC David Haines, who is investigating the incident, said: “The owner of the garage is extremely keen to get these keys back and has offered a reward of £1000 to anybody who can provide information that will lead to their return.

“Think back, were you driving or walking along High Street between 10.30pm and 11pm on that Tuesday? Did you see or hear anything suspicious? If so then please contact us.

"Any information you have, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help us with our investigation."
