Police in Loughborough have arrested four people today in an operation to target local criminality

Warrants were executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act and the Theft Act at four addresses in the town.

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of offences under the Theft Act are currently in police custody. Officers also seized a quantity of cash under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Sergeant Jamie Osborne, from Loughborough local policing unit, said: Theres no doubt that the local community played a big part in this operation. Loughborough Officers have been working hard to identify a number of people potentially involved in criminal activity.

Information fed into the local beat teams and Crimestoppers has helped us to build evidence against these people which has led to the execution of these warrants today.

We hope it reassures the community that we are working hard to tackle local crime and sends message to other criminals that we will act to disrupt your criminal activity
