Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Leicester.

The incident happened at around 11.05pm on Friday May 29, 2009 on London Road near to the junction with Waterloo Way and involved a purple BMW 3 series and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a man in his twenties, received serious head injuries and is currently at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where his condition is described as critical.

The driver of the BMW was not injured.

Detective Constable Gary Mundy, who is investigating the incident, said: “We'd be interested in hearing from anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw either the BMW, which was travelling county bound, or the pedestrian prior to the collision."
