Appeal following theft of bikes from Kirby Muxloe

Have you seen this bike?
Police are appealing for witnesses after two bikes were stolen from a house in Kirby Muxloe.
The incident happened at around 2.45 am on Wednesday June 3, when the owner of the property was woken by the properties alarm on Ellis Drive.
He then looked out of a front window to the house and saw two men riding away from the driveway on bikes. On further investigation the victim found that two bikes had been stolen from the garage to the property.
The suspects gained entry to the garage by forcing the door open.
One of the bikes was later found by police on Wardens Walk, Leicester Forest East.
The bike that has not yet been found has been described as a Giant, mans bike that is blue and silver in colour. It has 27 gears, Crank brother pedals that are silver and black and part of the frame was not painted.
Detective Constable Matthew Swift, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victims are keen to get their bike back and we would like to appeal to anyone who knows of it whereabouts to contact us.
“If you was in the area at the time of the incident or can remember seeing anyone acting suspiciously then we would like to hear from you.
“Alternatively, if you have been approached by someone since the incident who has attempted to sell you a bike matching the description or if you know someone who has acquired one in suspicious circumstances, then again we want to hear from you.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC 1350 Matthew Swift on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1350. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
