Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a theft from a vehicle on Shelthorpe Road, Loughborough.

The incident happened overnight between 8pm on Wednesday May 20 and 8.30am on Thursday May 21 when the victim discovered items from his car, that was parked the driveway, had gone missing.

It is believed that someone gained access to the vehicle through the boot and took a Snap on tool box with precision tools used for aircraft mechanics inside.

The tool box has stickers of aircrafts on it. The value of the items stolen is believed to total £10,000.

PC Mario Tabone, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victim is keen to get his tools back and we are appealing to the public to help us with find them.

“We are keen to speak with anyone who has information on this incident or those who are responsible.

“We would also like people to be aware of the items stolen and contact us if you see a tool box matching our description.”
