Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a bicycle from a garage on Wilmington Court in Loughborough.

The incident happened over bank holiday weekend between Friday May 22 and Monday May 25, when the lock on the garage door had been stolen and the door left open.

Taken from the garage was the Santa Cruz, Bullet men’s mountain bike shown in the picture. The bike is blue and silver in colour and has 21 gears.

PC Andy Dixon, the officer investigating the incident said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area over the bank holiday and who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously.

“Have you seen the bike since the incident? Do you know anyone who has recently acquired a bike similar to that in the picture in suspicious circumstances? Any information you have on this incident we would like to hear.”
