Assault on Sandalwood Road
Police are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old man was assaulted on Sandalwood Road in Loughborough.
The incident happened at about 10pm on Friday May 29, 2009 when the victim was walking along Woodbrook Road and turned left onto Sandalwood Road.
He was approached by three men and punched in the stomach. Following the assault a car drove along Sandalwood Road and all three of the men ran off towards the entrance of a nearby park.
The three men have been described as possibly white, aged between 19 and 20 years-old, of medium build, between 5’10” and 6ft tall and wearing dark coloured hooded tops with the hoods worn up.
One of the men is also described as having a scar or earring on his left eyebrow.
PC Sheela Kaya, who is investigating the incident, said: “I would appeal for the driver of the car or any of the passengers who may have witnessed this incident or saw the three men running down Sandalwood Road to contact me.
“This was a completely unprovoked attack and I would urge anybody with any information to get in touch.”
