Appeal following burglary in New Parks
Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary at a property on Bland Road, New Parks.
The incident happened between 10.45pm on Tuesday May 26 and 7.45am on Wednesday May 27, when the victim discovered that the property from her garage had been stolen.
It is believed that the suspects gained entry through a window that had been removed from the garage.
Taken from the property was a red quad bike, a white motorcross bike, a variety of fishing rods in a green bag, a large black box with bait boxes and hooks in, another green bag with a net in and an umbrella.
PC Lisa Dodds, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victims are keen to get their property back and we are hoping that by appealing to the public someone will contact us with information that can help.
“If you was in the area overnight on the night of the burglary and can remember seeing someone acting suspiciously we would like to hear from you.
“We would also like people to make themselves aware of those items stolen. Should you be approached by someone trying to sell them or if you know of someone who has acquired items similar in suspicious circumstances we would like you to contact us.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 4474 Lisa Dodds on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 4474. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
