Appeal to trace bike stolen in Wigston
Police are appealing for information following a bike being stolen in Wigston.
The incident happened on Wednesday May 6, 2009 at a block of communal flats on Boulter Crescent.
The victim left the bike insecurely in the hallway at around 5pm to visit a friend in the flats and when he returned at 9.35pm, the bike had been taken.
The bike is a Merida Sub 40 men’s mountain bike with a red and black frame. The main frame has the word “MERIDA” on in white writing and the cross bar has the word “SUB” on it in white writing. The handlebars are also black.
PC Kirsty Hadden, who is investigating this incident said: "We have been making various enquiries since this incident in particular speaking to other residents in the flats to trace the bike and are now hoping the public can help by identifying its whereabouts.
"I am looking to speak to anybody who has any information regarding this incident. Perhaps you work in the second hand bike trade and have been approached by someone selling this bike for sale? If you have any relevant information please contact us."
