Couple Fined Over School Fly-Tip

MAGISTRATES have fined a couple after bags of rubbish were dumped in the grounds of Shelthorpe Primary School.
Simon Andrew Grant of Woodthorpe Road, Loughborough, admitted throwing the waste over his garden fence and onto land within the school boundary when questioned by Charnwood Borough Council officers.
During a four-month period from September 2008, Grant dumped several black, green and plastic bags full of household rubbish, empty cardboard boxes, laminated wood flooring, a microwave and garden waste onto an unused area of land at the school.
