Police investigating an assault on a 21-year-old man have arrested four people.

The incident happened sometime between 8.30 and 9pm on Friday June 12, 2009 in the vicinity of McDonalds fast food restaurant, close to Red Hill Roundabout.

The man attended the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment to a wound to his stomach.

The car park to McDonalds was cordoned to allow for forensic examination of the scene.

Three youths, two aged 15 and one aged 13 and an 18-year-old man have been arrested and been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Glen Iceton, who is investigating the incident said: “We have been speaking to several witnesses and making numerous enquiries since our appeal but we are still urging anyone who was in the area that night, who may have seen the assault or events directly before or afterwards, to please contact us.”
