Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary from a shed in Castle Donnington.

The incident happened overnight between 10pm on Monday June 15 and 7am on Tuesday June 16, when the padlock to the door of the shed was broken and access was gained.

Taken from the workshop was a range of fishing equipment totalling £2000.

The owner of the property has offered a £500 reward for any information which may that lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible and the return of the stolen property.

PC Paul Anderson, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victim has been left upset at the loss of the equipment and we are hoping that by releasing this information somebody will contact us and help us reunite the items with their owner.

“If you have been approached by someone trying to sell some fishing equipment or are aware of someone gaining some equipment in suspicious circumstances, then we want to hear from you.
