Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempt was made to steal a bicycle in Leicester.

The incident happened between 9.30pm on Friday June 19, 2009 when the victim left his bike locked against a railing on Hinckley Road near to the junction with Narborough Road North.

He returned at around 2am the following morning (Saturday June 20) to find someone had tried to remove the lock and stolen his back wheel.

The bike is described as beige Diamondback Downhill men’s mountain bike.

Officer would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the theft or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area to please get in contact.
