26 June 2009Save money this summer on the Airlink Bus

People travelling to East Midlands Airport are being offered an extra incentive to make the journey by bus.

New money saving vouchers for the Airlink 155 service will enable passengers to travel from the Coalville area and beyond for 50p one way.

Holiday makers taking the bus can start their holidays without the hassle and cost of trying to find an airport parking space.

The service also provides important links to local villages for people commuting to East Midlands Airport and Pegasus Business Park.

The Airlink brings potential new employment opportunities to many North West Leicestershire residents by providing regular transport links with the airport.

Lesley Pendleton, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transportation, said: We hope that people will take advantage of this offer and experience how bus travel to the airport is better for the environment, and more convenient.

The Airlink 155 takes away the hassle of looking for parking spaces for both commuters and holiday makers.

The vouchers can be picked up from selected Leicestershire tourist information centres, service shops and libraries, and are also available inside the new Leicestershire Attractions by bus guide.

Alternatively, call 0116 305 8777 or e-mail passengertransport@leics.gov.uk.

Airlink 155 50p vouchers are valid from 29th June to the 30th August.
