Officers investigating a robbery at a store on Abbey Lane have arrested three people in connection with the incident.

The incident happened at around 5.10pm on Monday June 29, 2009 when two youths entered the store near to Red Hill Circle.

The youths threatened the shop keeper with what are believed to have been firearms and assaulted him. They took a Rolex watch belonging to the shop keeper and made off.   

He received minor injuries during the robbery and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Two men aged 20 and 28 and a woman aged 18 have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.

Detective Sergeant David Speight, who is investigating the incident, said: “We would still like to appeal to anyone who has information regarding the incident to please get in touch.

“Any information you have could be vital to our enquiries so please get in touch.”
