Officers are appealing for witnesses following an altercation in Leicester.

The incident took place at around midnight in the early hours of Monday June 29, 2009 on Putney Road West when the 21-year-old victim had left a nearby pub with friends.

As she was getting into a taxi, she became involved in an altercation with a group of men sitting nearby.

During the incident, three men who were with the victim were assaulted.

They receive treatment at the Leicester Royal Infirmary for minor injuries.

One of the suspects is described as white, aged around 26-years-old, about 5’9” tall and of stocky build. He had closely shaven blonde hair and was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.

The other is described as white, around 26-years-old, about 5’7” tall and of slim build. He had short brown hair and was wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans.

Detective Constable Kate Dabrowska, from Keyham Lane CID, said: “I would urge anyone who was in the area on Monday June 29 to think back, did you witness the incident or do you know anything about the incident? Any information no matter how insignificant it may seem could help with our enquiries.”
