Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary in Leicester.

The incident happened between 4pm and 11.45pm on Monday, June 29 when the victims found that a door to the back of the property, on Anstey Lane, had been forced open.

Items taken from the property include a grey Sony Vaio laptop, a grey Hewlett Packard laptop, 2 digital cameras, one Canon and one Minolta and 2, 22ct Indian gold, chains.

PC Steve Kilsby, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victims are keen to get their property back in particular the gold chains and so we are hoping that anyone with information will see this and contact us.

“We would like people to make themselves aware of those items taken, in particular those people working in the jewellery trade. Should you be approached by anyone you think is trying to sell you the stolen goods then we want you to get in touch.

“We also want anyone who has information on the actual incident to call us and help us with our investigation as this could lead us to the items and help us return them to their owners.”
