Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of an robbery in Loughborough Road, Leicester.

The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Sunday June 28, at the junction with Bruin Street.

The 18-year-old victim was approached by a group of four youths who then assaulted him and took his black, Blackberry mobile phone.

The suspects were seen to walk off along Loughborough Road county bound.

The victim received injuries to his face and attended the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment to his injuries.

Four youths, all aged 17-years-old, have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Constable Pete Davies, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victim has been left with minor injuries to his face and we are hoping that by releasing this information the public will contact us with any information they have.

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to cast their minds back. Can you remember seeing the four youths? Did you see what happened before the robbery? Do you know those involved?

“Any information you have we want to hear, it could all help us with our investigation.”
