Trees set alight in Rearsby
Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident of arson in Rearsby.
The incident happened between 12.30pm and 1pm on Wednesday July 1, 2009 when woods at the back of a property on Melton Road in Rearsby were set alight.
The fire brigade attended and extinguished the fire which caused damage to trees and bushes.
PC Kevin Gray, who is investigating the incident, said: Thankfully the fire did not cause any major damage but the incident could have been far worse.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident. Did you see anything suspicious? Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, may help us with our enquiries."
