Police officers are appealing for witnesses following incidents of criminal damage to motor vehicles in the Clarendon Park area.   

The incidents happened between the late evening on Tuesday June 30 and the early hours on Wednesday July 1, 2009 when seven cars received scratches in their paintwork.

Cars have been targeted were parked on Avenue Road, Avenue Road Extension, Howard Road and Cradock Road.  

PC Aaron Horn, from Welford Road local policing unit, sad; “We're eager to trace the people responsible for these incidents as they have caused upset to the owners of the cars as well as the inconvenience and cost to repair the damage.

"Did you witness any of these incidents or have any information about who may have done this? If so, please get in touch.

“We have been carrying house to house enquiries in the area but would like to hear about any unusual or suspicious activity in the area or any groups hanging around cars between these times.

"We would also urge anyone who has also been a victim of this type of incident in the area and has not as yet reported it to the police, to get in touch as soon as possible."
