Man assaulted on Kestrel Close
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 25-year-old man was assaulted in the Hamilton area.
The incident happened at around 2.30pm in the early hours of Friday July 3, 2009 as the man was walking home after a night out along Kestrel Close when he was assaulted.
He received a fractured cheekbone and attended the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment
Detective Constable Peter Davies, who is investigating this incident, said: “This was a particularly nasty attack which has left this man with quite a serious injury. He has no recollection of the incident other than walking towards a group of eight men, who have been described as white and around 20-years-old, shortly before the attack.
“We’re asking for anyone who witnessed the assault to get in touch with us and help us build a complete picture of that evening’s events.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC 1761 Peter Davies on 0116 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officers identification number 1761. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
