Make a splash at Snibston Grange fishing matches

Test your angling skills at forthcoming fishing matches this summer at Snibston Grange and Country Park.
The Grange Nature Reserve has two one-acre fishing lakes with a total of 40 fishing pegs for anglers to choose from. Carp and match lakes are surrounded by a variety of fishing pegs, some of which are tailored for disabled anglers.
Both lakes are stocked with a variety of fish including: roach, perch, tench, barbel, bream, chub, and carp.
Junior Fishing Competition
Saturday, 18th July 2009 8am-1pm
Snibston’s annual fishing contest for under 16s.
Match rules apply, two keeps nets must be used.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd heaviest accumulative weights.
8am draw. Match starts at 9am and finishes at 1pm.
Max places - 20.
Tickets cost £8 and pre booking is essential

To purchase tickets for the above events call the booking office on 01530 278444.which is open Monday- Friday from 9-5pm.
Either lake can be booked for matches from the beginning of September till the end of April, subject to availability. Matches can be booked by calling 01530 278450 or by speaking to a ranger in person. It’s advisable to book with as much time in advance due to popularity.
