Appeal following burglary on Somerset Avenue
Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary in Somerset Avenue, Leicester.
The incident happened between 11am and 1pm on Saturday June 27, when the victim returned to the property to find a window to the front door had been smashed.
Entry was then gained through the door and a search of the property was made before the suspects left with a number of the victim’s items.
Items taken from the property include, a Dell laptop, two Nikon digital cameras, one Sigma camera lense, a silver/grey Sony digital camera and two mobile phones one Motorola and one LG, both silver in colour.
Police believe that the suspects left the property as they entered.
PC Ben Dunkley, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victim has been left very upset after the incident and is keen to get the items back.
“We would like to ask people, in particular electrical goods dealers, to make themselves familiar with those items taken. If you are approached by anyone who tries to sell you any of these items or are aware of someone who has acquired these items in suspicious circumstances then we want you to call us.”
